Terms of Use - Adventure Book

These terms cover the Adventure Book app and adventurebook.app. By using the app, you agree to them. In short: your content stays yours, most of the app is free, Premium is a subscription you can cancel at any time, and we do our best to keep things running without promising they never break.

Who we are

Adventure Book is a small independent app made and run by Mitja Ahlin in Slovenia. You can reach us at info@adventurebook.app.

Your account

You can save ideas without an account. Planning together, sharing and sync need one. Keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.

You must be an adult. The app is for adults planning activities for their family (see the children section of the Privacy Policy).

Your content

You own what you add: ideas, plans, notes, recaps and photos. You give us permission only to store it, process it and show it to the people you choose, so the app can work. That means:

• your household partner
• people you invite to an outing
• anyone you send a share link to

We don’t sell your content or use it for ads. Anyone who has a share link can view what you chose to share until you revoke the link. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Acceptable use

• Don’t upload illegal content or content you don’t have the rights to.
• Don’t harass the people you invite.
• Don’t try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
• Don’t use share links to send spam.

We may suspend accounts that do.

Free and Premium

Most of the app is free: saving ideas, the weekly Friday question, planning, reminders, and sending an idea to another family.

Premium is one subscription for the whole household. It adds planning together (inviting people and a household partner), reading your calendar to know when you’re free, and finding a day with another family. People you invite and other families never pay.

Subscriptions and billing

• Premium is bought through the App Store or Google Play and billed to your store account. There is a yearly and a monthly plan. The price is shown in the app and in the store before you pay.
• New subscribers may get a free trial (currently 1 month). When it ends, you are charged unless you cancel before.
• Subscriptions renew automatically, for the same length and at the same price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your store account is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. See how to cancel on Apple or Google Play. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. See Apple’s refund page or Google Play’s refund page. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
• If the price changes, the store tells you before it applies to you, as the store’s rules require.
• When a subscription ends, nothing you made is deleted or locked. Saved ideas and past outings stay readable. Premium features stop working, and a household partner keeps everything already in the list.

App Store purchases

If you got the app from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where the two differ, these terms apply between you and us. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support.

Purchases on Google Play are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

The service

We work to keep Adventure Book running. It is provided “as is”, can have bugs or downtime, and features may change. Reminders and notifications depend on your phone’s settings and on Apple’s and Google’s push delivery, so we can’t guarantee that each one arrives. If we ever shut the app down, we’ll give notice and a way to export your data.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for missed outings. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law, for example for gross negligence, or your consumer protections in the country where you live.

Ending

You can stop using the app at any time. To delete your account and data, write to info@adventurebook.app (see the Privacy Policy). We may end or suspend access for serious breaches of these terms.

Changes

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. For changes that affect paying subscribers, we’ll tell you in the app before they apply.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Slovenia. This does not remove the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
